The Reel
The Daiwa Saltist SJ 200H Baitcaster Reel is built
specifically for New Zealand anglers looking for a mid sized
baitcaster suited to the harsh saltwater environment. It features a
solid aluminium frame and gear side-plate along with Daiwa’s
advanced Digigear II gear design and the new Air Rotation system.
Daiwa’s UTD drag system gives it the ability to generate heavy drag
pressure while retaining silky smooth line release. An extra-long
power handle and EVA knob provide cranking power, balance, and
control. Ideal for light jigging applications, the Saltist SJ 200H
is a heavy-duty baitcaster in true Daiwa style.

The Rod
The Daiwa Kohga Metal Slow Jig Rod is
designed specifically for use with Kohga Bayrubber Free lures when
targeting Snapper. It integrates many innovative technologies such
as X45, HVF, V-Joint and Metal Top.

HVF and X45
HVF and X45 combine to create a thin and lightweight carbon blank
that loads progressively throughout its length; a responsive middle
section absorbs any sudden pressure changes, while the lower
section retains enough power to effectively respond to large
Snapper.

V-Joint
Bias construction (V-Joint) allows the creation of a compact
two-piece rod concept, whereby the ferrule is able to actively flex
retaining the structural integrity and bending curve indicative of
a one-piece blank.
