Time-tested reliability and performance
If you’re looking for an ultra-tough stickbait rig, the
Daiwa Saltist Nero 6500 and Hyper 82XH Stickbait
Combo has got you covered. In this set you get the super
heavy-duty Saltist Nero reel which has Daiwa’s Magseal – making it
tough, smooth and corrosion-resistant. You also get the Daiwa
Saltist Hyper 82XH rod which is made of HVF carbon as well as
advanced design and construction to give you the ultimate
combination of strength, power, sensitivity and value for money.
Last but not least, the Daiwa X4 J-Braid is perfectly suited for
spinning reels. You get a line that is soft, supple, strong, and
made in Japan, assuring you of high quality and excellent
performance.
The Reel
The 2017 Daiwa Saltist Nero 6500 Magseal Spinning
Reel is packed with new features for better strength,
performance and reliability.
Magseal
Reducing saltwater penetration is a major goal to minimise
corrosion, promote longer life and better performance. Daiwa’s
Magseal system greatly reduces the penetration of water inside the
body via the main shaft. Being magnetised this lubrication system
avoids any friction, reduces dust intrusion, eliminates oil spray
and improves reel life expectancy.
ATD Drag
Daiwa’s new drag, ATD implements structural changes to the spool
metal of the reel that provides greater support of the spool across
the entire length of the main shaft. This additional support of the
spool reduces spool twist under load, promotes more even wear of
the drag washers and ultimately reduces “pulsing” of the drag when
fighting the fish.
Combined with new improved drag grease that exhibits a low
viscosity at rest, yet becomes more viscous immediately after drag
start up. This reduces initial drag startup inertia and combined
with the structural changes of the ATD Drag System results in a
smoother drag from the initial hook up.
Digigear II
Daiwa’s revolutionary Digigear Drive System delivers up to 15% more
cranking power than with conventional gears. Digigear features a
high-precision cutting technique and allows for superior gear
precision and strength. Made from super strong, corrosion resistant
alloy, Digigear gears are lighter, stronger and allow for flawless
gear meshing and superior cranking smoothness and power. With more
cranking power, seamless meshing of gears and the elimination of
wear and tear, Digigear is the ultimate system for ultimate gear
performance.
The Rod
The Daiwa Saltist Hyper 82XH Spinning Rod has
everything you need in a rod – cutting-edge design, advanced
technology, strength and reliability. The rugged blank features HVF
carbon; Daiwa’s low-resin, high-strength, reduced weight and
high-density carbon to get rid of unwanted weight, yet loaded with
all the power.
Fuji reel seats creates an immovable fusion between rod and reel
it’s like you glued them together. Fuji O Concept guides offers
360-degree protection from bumps, hits and dings; reduces guide
draw, twist bend and weight resulting in a more responsive rod.
What’s more, the ultra tough EVA grip puts the power in your hands
to battle the toughest fish, while offering you the comfort to use
all day long. Power, strength, lightness and integrity are the
hallmarks of this rod.
The Braid
Perfectly suited for spin and overhead reels, the Daiwa X4
J-Braid Multi-Colour is colourfast is metered in 10, 5 and
1 metre increments making it ideal for offshore applications like
jigging and popping. Every fisho knows that supreme line management
is critical for longer casts with less knots. J-Braid PE boasts all
of that, with a smooth, round profile design, that wraps neatly and
evenly onto the reel spool.
The casting distance of J-Braid 4 is complemented by its thin
diameter – but don’t be fooled! Despite being thin, J-Braid is
strong! Daiwa’s multi coloured J-Braid offering is available in
20lb – 80lb breaking strains, so strength isn’t compromised and it
displays ultimate abrasion resistance for your added confidence to
fish it in even the heaviest structure. Delivering strength and
quality in perfect harmony, Daiwa J-Braid is designed to let you be
a strong fighter.
