The Reel

The new workhorse of the Daiwa baitcaster range, the Lexa CC.
Building on the Lexa range of heavy-duty low-profile baitcasting
options, the Daiwa Lexa 400CC PWR-P Baitcaster
Reel features the same lightweight alloy construction that
offers high sensitivity and maximum structural rigidity, but with
the addition of a spool ratchet.

Incorporating bulletproof gearing and a UTD drag system the
Daiwa Lexa 400CC PWR-P Baitcaster Reel is capable
of producing a staggering 10kg of drag, giving you the power to
slow down just about anything that swims.

The Rod

Classic style, advanced heavy-duty design and function

The more heavy-duty version of the BJ66XB, the Daiwa
Saltist Hyper BJ66XXHB OH Slow Jig Rod is suited to 90-180
gram lures and line up to PE 2. Perfect for wrestling bottom
dwelling fish away from their lairs, snapper, coral trout and a
host of other reef fish will fall to the charms of this rod. Harsh,
brutal, and unforgiving, there’s few styles of angling more testing
of angler and tackle than offshore fishing. Unrelenting on gear and

HVF Carbon
The Hyper Saltist is no exception and utilises some of Daiwa’s most
advanced blank technologies to created a rod series that is

low resin, high strength, reduced weight, high density carbon the
result is a range that is stripped of unwanted weight, yet loaded
with all the power that you need. More muscle and less fat is the
name of the game in the new Saltist Hyper range.

Glatech blank construction
Glatech construction features in many of the models in the range
and incorporates uni-directional fibreglass sandwiched between 90
degree inner and outer layers graphite. The result is an incredibly
resilient blank, with backbone and lifting power to control and
lead strong fish.

Heavy duty Fuji reel seats
Rock solid Fuji reel seats create an immovable fusion between rod
and reel, with a locking ring on the seat anchoring the two
together eliminating any chance of reel movement or slippage.
