Light yet tough

The Carbon Light Material Housing of the new Daiwa Legalis
LT 4000 Spinning Reel is designed with the LT concept of
“light but tough,” in mind. The LT body is made from a carbon-based
composite that is much lighter than conventional materials yet very
durable. With a much greater strength to weight ratio, this reel is
lighter and can be handled without fatigue over the long course of
a full day’s fishing.

The spool design features the Advanced Ballistic System or ABS.
This technology utilises a reversed taper to pay out line in bigger
loops reducing outgoing friction and improving casting distance.
The oversized spool also holds more line and can exert more
pressure on hooked gamefish. The Air Rotor and Air Bail are carbon
composite designed lighter and stronger than conventional designs.
Smoothness of operation is assured by 6 ball bearings and a roller
bearing. Rarely in the spinning reel market can you find a reel
modest in price yet loaded with state of the art technical and
design features. The Daiwa Legalis LT 4000 Spinning

LT Concept
An evolution in design to suit the new generation of PE/Braid lines
for higher line and drag capacity, stronger gearing, improved
handling and increased performance.

Tough Digigear
New generation Tough Digigear is 50% stronger than previous
Digigear II thanks to increased diameter main gears combined with
an increase in individual gear teeth size.

Airspool ABS
The newly designed AL Airspool is up to 30% lighter than previous
generations. The newly redesigned spool lip has improved overall
castability.

Air Bail
Featuring a hollow, tubular bail arm for maximum rigidity and
strength with minimum weight. The protrusion free design works to
eliminate line tangles during the retrieve.

Air Rotor
The innovative design and construction works to reduce weight,
stress and flexing, whilst enhancing transmission of vibration and
allowing the rotor to spin with perfect balance.
