The Daiwa Legalis LT 2500 and Emeraldas 83ML Egi Squid
Combo embodies the Light But Tough philosophy. It features
the Carbon Light Material Housing of the new Daiwa Legalis LT 2500
Spinning Reel which has an LT body made from a carbon-based
composite that is much lighter than conventional materials yet very
durable. With a much greater strength to weight ratio, this reel is
lighter and can be handled without fatigue over the long course of
a full day’s fishing. The Daiwa Emeraldas 83ML Egi Rod is the ideal
all-around squid rod, perfect for targeting Squid from both shore
and boat. It has sufficient length for making long searching casts,
allowing you to cover large areas of water and increasing the
chance of locating Squid.

The Reel
The Carbon Light Material Housing of the new Daiwa Legalis
LT 2500 Spinning Reel is designed with the LT concept of
“light but tough,” in mind. The LT body is made from a carbon-based
composite that is much lighter than conventional materials yet very
durable. With a much greater strength to weight ratio, this reel is
lighter and can be handled without fatigue over the long course of
a full day’s fishing. The spool design features the Advanced
Ballistic System or ABS. This technology utilises a reversed taper
to pay out line in bigger loops reducing outgoing friction and
improving casting distance. The oversized spool also holds more
line and can exert more pressure on hooked gamefish. The Air Rotor
and Air Bail are carbon composite designed lighter and stronger
than conventional designs. The smoothness of operation is assured
by 6 ball bearings and a roller bearing. Rarely in the spinning

make use of slack line and aggressive jerking techniques, to
efficiently manipulate jigs up through the water column and attract
nearby squid. While the sensitive tip section will allow you to
feel even the faintest of contacts.

High-grade carbon materials combined with Braiding X brings high
end technology and performance to a rod that is designed for the
intermediate angler. Braiding X is a carbon weave placed around key
locations in the blank to increase power, this allows for a
decrease in blank diameter and a reduction in overall weight. The
ultra light Fuji KL guides deliver minimum friction when casting
and reduce the chance of tangling – improving casting distance,
