testing, the Daiwa Kohga Bay Rubber Free Slider
Lure is the perfect sliding lure developed specifically
for New Zealand Snapper. Its hydrodynamic keel design increases the
lures stability and sink rate ensuring optimal presentation in the
correct area of the water column. The sliding head features a
polished ceramic tube with an extremely smooth surface to
efficiently dissipate heat, protecting the leader as the lure
slides. The tapered head design enables the lure to adapt to high
and low current situations to maintain optimal lure action.
Holographic stickers reflect light creating flash and increasing
interest.

Securely attached skirt is glued in place, whipped with thread and
then glued again to increase longevity. Kevlar Assist Cord with a
fluorocarbon core provides optimal hook placement and prevents
hooks snagging on the leader. The Kohga is finished with ultra
sharp Japanese SaqSas hooks to ensure a secure hook set with
minimal pressure. Constant movement is critical to maximising lure
efficiency. The Kohga Bayrubber Free lure provides the solution,
whereby all components are separated allowing them to move freely
without restriction.

Colour Recommendations:

• Sakura Glow is recommended for use during early morning and is
  the ideal lure selection when fishing in low light conditions
  and/or deep water
• Kohga Pink is recommended for use during mid-morning and is the
  ideal lure selection for overcast weather conditions or average
  water clarity
• Kohga Orange is recommended for use during mid-afternoon and is
  the ideal lure selection for clear conditions or when fish activity
  is variable
• Chartreuse is recommended for use during the evening and is the
  ideal lure selection for periods of low activity or when looking
  for a reactionary contact

How to Fish with the Daiwa Kohga Bay Rubber Free Slider
Lure:

• Select the lightest head weight that can easily make contact
  with the bottom
• Select the most appropriate colour based on time of day/water
  conditions/personal preference
• In high current situations rig the lure with the thin side
  facing forwards. In low current situations rig the lure with the
  thick side facing forwards
• Keep contact with the lure while it is descending to the
  bottom
• Retrieve the lure slowly, approximately 1 handle revolution per
  second is sufficient
• Reference your sounder, keep the lure moving within the correct
  area of the water column
• If you feel a contact do not strike, continue to retrieve the
  lure slowly
• The ultra-sharp Japanese SaqSas hooks will penetrate with
  minimal pressure
• Once you feel the weight of the fish, apply moderate pressure
  through the rod
• Using a sensible drag setting, allow the rod and reel to absorb
  any sudden movements
• Enjoy the fight, allow the fish to tire while smoothly
  retrieving line when possible
