The Reel

returns! The new Daiwa BG16 3000 Spinning Reel is
a heavy-duty super reel that starts with Daiwa’s legendary Real
Four Design formula. An amalgamation of Real Engine, Real Control,
Real Endurance, Real Custom and Real Four gives rise to spin
excellence that is unrivalled in design, performance and
quality.

The Rod
The Daiwa Air Edge Spinning Rod is a result of
years of research and development, creating the ultimate rod –
combining high-end blank innovation, design, and components that
deliver ultimate performance yet incredible value for money.

High volume fibre
The secret to Air Edge is Daiwa’s carbon design- HVF (high volume
fibre). The HVF carbon fibres are laid longitudinally with minimal
resin use, then rolled at extremely high temperatures and pressure
to produce an exceptionally light but super strong blank. By
increasing the fibre quantity and massively decreasing the resin
quantity it has created increase muscle in a slimmer profile blank,
thus resulting in an even stronger, leaner, lighter, sharper rod
than ever before. These blanks are incredibly fast and tippy but
fold away under pressure in an even arch to displace load through
the whole blank for maximum fighting power.

Fuji hardloy guides
Complimenting this great design is Fuji’s highest quality stainless
Hardloy guides that deliver superb tangle free casting performance
and dissipate heat efficiently eliminating line wear. The
customized Fuji VSS/TCS reel seats are painted then baked with a
rich metallic flake black paint plus the addition of custom
manufactured alloy componentry compliments this attractive and
practical reel seat. For ultimate comfort and sensitivity Air Edge
uses high quality EVA grips.
